I may have spoken too soon before when I said "works well". I'm still having to use my IE just to get into MAP, neither can I relist using the "relist" tab. I have to open the closed auction, click on relist and then hope it takes as it seems to take forever before finally bringing me back to the members lists. I have no way of removing it from the ended list tho'. I click on the tab at the far right and as soon as I leave with my cursor, the choices disappear. Not good.

The techie guys need to get back on the simple stuff and get it to working smoothly.

Got to go now, too many long days and too much stuff going on to concentrate.

Hi all, specifically Piglet and Steve since I'm not sure who else comes by, but, I digress!

Steve, I love the look of the site, works real well. The Home page is superb. Colorful yet tasteful and professional.

Howsomever, I'm having the same problem as Piglet with FireFox. Can't get in while using it and it is my default browser. I have to switch to IE and it just doesn't function well for some reason anymore on my 'puter. Relisting is the same problem too, the drop down box seems to be crooked or something with the choices offered. I move slooooooooowly with my cursor and just when I think that I have it on the right choice, *POOF*, it disappears. FireFox needs to be seriously tweeked so it's also accepted.

Anyhow, speaking of a "developer network", yes, by all means, speak of it! What all will that entail, curious minds want to know!

Keep up the good work, it's gonna' pay off one of these days.

Hey Steve, I'm still not able to access the site thru FireFox. After signing in it continues to flash from the home page to the sign in page (constantly transferring data) and I only get the very top portion of the home page, flashes pretty fast too. I do so hope that it can be fixed to be friendly with FireFox. Of course Antigone and I would probably be the only two aliens on this planet that use it as our default browser. We wouldn't want it any other way, makes us feel special in a warped kind of way. When using the drop down menu, I was very careful to stay on the line that I wanted to revise but it didn't seem to make a difference whether I moved my mouse slow or fast, the menu just disappeared. And yes, I have noticed that he site has a whole new look and I'm liking it. Find that invisible button on my store and do away with it so the buyers can find me -- I need buyers,lol. Well that's all for now. Think I'll try to take up drinking while I sit here and continously check my mail til I hear from Antigone.

Good to see you Steve and hey there Piglet!

I had to laugh, Piglet, I had the same issue with chasing the cursor when relisting. LOL, and I did try to go sloooooooow, keeping the cursor in the same line as the drop down etc., wouldn't, couldn't, didn't work, no way, no how! I also had to go back to my IE to finish logging in. My FF did let me get onto the site and logged in pretty quick but from there it just kept flashing from blank to log in, blank to long in, over and over and over until I hit the "stop" in the address bar. From there it was just luck if I got anywhere. Oh well. I know MAP and our Steve is working fingers to the bone getting the site to a smooth and orderly place of business. It'll get thar oneofthesedays.

I will say this, the look of the front page is super! I seriously like it!

I think I'm lucky to get one message a day posted anywhere. Piglet, I haven't forgotten you and will PM you soon. I'm hanging by a thread here gal, hangin' by a thread. You know that old saying', "I had one nerve left this morning and damn if you ain't got on it!" (meaning doctors and hospitals) I just may take up drinking after all. If I could just stand the taste of that stuff, sheesh!

Hi Ballary,

Since the most recent update (total new look for the site), are you still having issues with the log in procedure?

The drop down menus had to be implemented. We have too many menu items to list individually now. The new menu function is supposed to help with the organization of the menu. I have the same issue surfing the links. My suggestion is to go slow and ensure that you are staying over the menu you need. I apologize for the navigation issues; we are working hard to ensure that the updates do not interrupt too much.

Hi, the piglet here. A big ole shout out to you Antigone for posting here about Mozilla FireFox. That's my default browser also and I'm still not able to access the site. I emailed support several times and did as it was suggested to clear out my cache and clean up all temporary files and cookies. Matter of fact I did that several times. Got tired of having to re-enter all my info. I've also refreshed my page so many times it's not funny. Even had Xfinity out for a service call and it's not on my end so.................I have to get here by way of IE which I don't like. Glad to see you Steve, I'll know you'll get to the bottom of it. Another thing to add, I came here to remove some of my items. Wouldn't let me do it using the drop down list, had to chase the thing since it popped up on the left side of the page and by the time you try to fly over to it, well it's gone. Gave up on that and just selected the item and removed it that way.

Hello all,

I finally got in here but it weren't easy!

I tried for a few days and the log in page just kept returning, returning, returning, I'd log in and out and try again and it never did anything but kept returning me to the log in! I most often use FireFox as my IE just kept screwing up a while back. Not necessarily crazy about FF but if it works, it works. I tried again to get in this evening and I had to go back to IE and almost didn't make it in with that either! It was 'herky-jerky', back and forth but finally stopped spinning around and I'm finally here. I did manage to get one item relisted, it did seem to work a tad faster but the browser thing I guess I'll have to work on. I can't make my IE work on some other sites and still can't get FF to do anything here, so, if it's possible Steve, see if FF can be made viable to MAP.

I'll be back but for now I'm just down to the last nerve ending and need to either take a chill pill, take a drink (and I don't drink even) or go outside and shoot something, or break something or........whatever.

Hello all,

Just dropping in to take care of a couple of re lists and then back to the mundane things like housework. I was never cut out for "house-work". I was supposed to be rich and pampered. Someone tripped over the list I guess and....well, the rest is what became my life. Ah well, we do what we must, right?

Anyway, our Winter is about gone. We never had one really. My flowers never really quit blooming, the Jasmine arbor is still in full flowering mode, the grass is still mowable and we didn't get any Robins this year! They always come in with the cold weather, on their migration run, and they never came in. Anyone still in doubt about global warming?

So, I am hoping all are well and being productive. We will be heading to Biloxi in a week or so for hubby's tests, biopsy etc. Hard to concentrate on much else until we know for sure what is ahead.

Just time traveling through (lol) and I had to post this.

The other day when I posted and made a reference to Steve's post to me, something about this line: " I am active military, so I am out and about much of the time." struck me as familiar. Don't ask me why but I kept repeating that line over and over in my mind and wondering what was it that seemed familiar.

LOL! Now I know! (yaay my researching skills) It's a line from a book I read some years ago (yep, years ago) by an author that I knew personally. Bless her heart, she remains unpublished to this day and I hate that a pretty good writing talent has now given up. Anyway, that line was from a story she penned about a Vampire, (really nice guy, a "day walker") that was in the Military and had gotten turned while on a mission in the Balkans! LOL It was his story about how he had to cope with being a Vampire in modern society and trying to retain his Military career. (his goal is to retire as a 5-star General) There may be a hint there as to why she remained un published. I personally liked the story.

Any questions as to why people think I'm weird?

Been gone for a while. Got lots of things going on around home here and just can't get the old focus back. Major health problem with hubby, means trips back and forth to the Biloxi, MS VA hospital. Uncertainty on that front. Everything here seems to pick now to break down. Major plumbing problems, some breakdowns in the kitchen. This house was built during WWII and altho' we did a good bit of renovating when we first got it, time has passed and somethings need doing over....again. While life does indeed suck at times, there just isn't any option for the "give up" button. You just plant your feet deeper, flex, check your flank and dare adversity to bring it on! Sounds good huh? (yaay courage)

There was a book out some years ago, by a Cancer survivor (can't remember her name) I believe it was called "First You Cry". No joke, tell me about it.

Our dear Piglet is having problems too. Y'all say a little prayer for her will ya'? That woman is a rock! She's given everything she has to help elderly in-laws and an ailing Mom that passed and has put up with kinfolk bombarding her with even more problems. Now she is having problems with her vision and I mean some serious ones too. She doesn't need that at all. Some positive energy sent her way would be a good thing.

Steve! I had a feeling you were still active military, bless your heart. Always prayers sent for our guys in uniform.You are appreciated for many things, remember that and stay safe.

You're right, "normal" truly is a relative term. Come to think of it I have never, ever been called normal. Lots of other things (hahaha?) mostly "that woman is just weird". I've never minded being called weird or strange. It keeps the bad guys away from my property. Of course, lighting candles outside at Midnight and making strange markings around the yard, actually cultivating certain weeds just feeds the general opinion. Oh well, let them think what they want. I just peep at them and laugh.

I have to settle in for the night now. I have some relists to do but will finish them up tomorrow.

Hopefully all here are safe and not suffering from the bad weather. We here in the Gulf South have had such a mild winter it's like Spring.

No icons tho' except that today I see an icon next to the links for the facebook, twitter and you tube stuff, for the "Auction Board". Haven't really looked at that much yet but will eventually.

It's a little progress and that's always good so what the heck. We've got a new year going, our Stevie seems to be back doing things here so that means he's safe and secure and hopefully at home with family. Don't know if he's career military or what. I hope for his family and him that he's going to just be a safe normal person! LOL!

I'm seriously trying to get some things lined up around here to get some holiday items ready for upcoming holidays. Got things lined out and that's as far as I've gotten. Figures.

Got to go now and get something to eat. I took my reflux med (still not convinced that is what the problem is) and now whether I'm ready or not I have to put something in behind it. Yuck.

Do you have icons on top of your Members page? The ones that resemble animated planet critters for Members Store, Chatroom, Gallery o Matic & Got Any Questions? Mine are gone from my Members Page and the Coffee Shop page. I found them in the middle of the Home Page. I'm interested to see if yours are there.

Long day, still getting breakdowns around the house fixed. Sink problems are fixed again, hope they last this time. Bathroom plumbing fixed and it for darn sure better stay fixed. Bread machine working again, a wire came loose and even tho' it voided the warranty, it's fixed and works.

Got hubby to the eye doc today and he's scheduled for more tests in a couple weeks. Cataract surgery should follow soon. Hope all that goes well.

Balmy, Spring like weather for the last few days, today it's been rainy and now cold again. Perfect flu weather so we are trying to take the precautions we need to avoid that. Other than the same ol', same ol', things are moving along. I need to get some more stuff in the listings so I'll be working at that.

Another book in case you're interested. "Veiled Eyes" by C.L. Bevill. All about a mystery among the Bayou people and it is seriously good. Murder, suspense, thriller, intrigue, family deceit, sinister, Mythic overtones, supernatural stuff too, LOL. Some humor along the way.

Checking the listings today and with the exception of just one item not showing the listings seem to be o.k. Not sure what or how but thanks anyway.

So far things are o.k. except of course the old "font changing to all caps" things. LOL

BBL, got plumbing problems again today. I'm starting to agree with some Seniors that sell out and go into retirement communities. I am totally fed up with maintenance problems on this old house. I can't stand the thought of apartment or duplex style living tho. Oh well, it may have to happen one day but not soon I hope.

Steve, after checking both my stores, all of the items aren't showing. Antigone's Cave shows less than what is actually listed and the same for Your Crowning Glory. Any reason for that happening? If someone is just browsing the stores it doesn't help if everything isn't showing as listed.

Hey Steve, I'm trying to get more listings up and it seems that some old glitches are still happening. I got one done, no problem. The second one went along o.k. until I clicked the "submit" button. It went on and on and on and on, waiting forever before it finished. The the site went back to the old, really old block style lettering. At that point it went to a page that said something about a problem with a sql server?

The listing finally took but it was way too long. We have a new year going and the techies or whoever is handling script needs to tighten up. Some of the old problems go back to the beginning! Can you kick them into gear?

Found out why my store was gone. Duuuh! All my listings had expired, so, the store wasn't showing. I can see that happening, it's different than other places but what the heck. Why show it if there's nothing in it.

I got a bunch of them relisted and will try to add some more tomorrow. I need to check the heaters, get my shower and hit the pillow. I is tired.

I see the issues posted here and will work on them. I have been traveling extensively lately and had to deal with Hurricane Sandy. I did adjust the Google checkout setting today on the site. Google changes things so fast it is a full time job to keep up.

Antigone, I got the same thing when I tried accessing the site. I just figured that you and I had been kicked to the curb. On that note, let me go ahead and spout off some more. Would someone please get the problem fixed of Google responding to the callback URL? I get one to two messages every day of a notification failure from Google. The so called buyer that purchased my one item shown as "sold", never returned my call and never paid for the item, so remove the thing if you can and maybe that will stop the emails. I mean, humor me in some kind of way by doing something.

I agree with you 100%. While I've never had an "actual" sale here I have been hopeful from day one. You and I both know, from going through "start-up blues" before, that it takes time, time and more time to get an auction site up and running properly. However, also from past experiences, you and I both also know that sitting, stalled, no interraction from moderators etc. can be a death rattle and I'm starting to hear faint echos of **coughing**.

Someone, somewhere, must have the buttons to continue the sites presence. Unless it was paid for in advance and then turned over to a tech school for a learning experience, it is a tat dumbfounding.

Perhaps there's a reason behind it all but something is starting to smell again. Piglet, it may be time to catch the next Earth bound shuttle kiddo.

I contact the buyer and am told that they made a mistake by clicking on my item. Yeah, they made a mistake when they clicked on Google Checkout to pay for it too cause their credit card was declined. And I continue to receive emails from Google about order notification failures on the callback URL for this site. And guess what? I'm not a bit surprised but who cares? There's obviously no one in charge to even confront. So if you happen to get a sale on this site, and it happens to be a legitimate buyer with good intentions on making payment, good luck on collecting since that feature doesn't work properly either. Talk about attitude, yeah I got one, tis the season.

Hey, the piglet here. Did somebody down below say something about selling an item on MAP? Well it appears that I did indeed sell an item not once, but twice and in a very short window. It even appears that the person that made the purchase is not the person that made the payment or should I say, tried to make the payment. It also appears that I accept payments thru a method that I have never chosen on this site and when I attempt to delete the username and password, it just won't go away. Heads up everybody, it's late and I'm gonna give this thing the benefit of the doubt. I'm gonna hope that this is a legitimate sale and somebody somewhere isn't using me as a test subject cause I certainly don't remember being asked and I'm just a great big ole ticking time bomb right about now, looking for a place to explode. Big change around my house.

Hubby and I no longer run the magazine route for the newspaper. It's been about 12 years now, first with home delivery, then commerical delivery and then the magazines. Never missed a day, not one single day. Never made a complaint unless it was to let them know that my paycheck didn't make it into the bank.......again.

So, since the paper has been laying off and changing things completely around, more and more "mistakes" being made each week with paychecks, we decided that since we are now "even" with the money, we simply quit. No more big maintenance and gas bills, no more stress. It feels good.

Strange, ever since we retired (hahaha) we haven't missed any time working. Today, we are actually retired! We'll probably figure out something to do to bring in a few more dollars to help things along but until then, I am going to relax.

I just had to end two of my higher priced items. I needed to seriously revise them and couldn't so I had to end them early. I won't relist most likely. Just a total waste of time having to do that when a simple editing could have done it. Things are starting to break down on MAP and there doesn't seem to be anyone working on anything. I do notice that items are mentioned on Twitter and most likely Facebook (I don't do FB anymore) when something is either listed or comes up for a re list, but don't know if that's an automatic thing or if there's actually people doing it. Like a plane on auto pilot I guess.

We're drifting folks. Into the Heavens and beyond but we don't seem to have a pilot or navigator.

It ain't happenin' here either!!! Can't revise. It's almost like a kid that's been dumped on the corner and left, deserted, just abandoned.

Don't know if that can happen with a web site or not, but the feeling that it can, can!

My sentiments too Piglet. You and I have offered before to test things out, the beta things etc. and I don't think either one of us would have minded doing that here if, big IF here, we had been asked in the beginning. Not hearing anything at all, from anyone at all, well that's just going over the line a bit. Even some of the sellers I have to wonder about. It's pretty easy to have staff that pose at sellers in order to work on formatting etc. The dates of joining on a lot of them make me wonder. No sales, no feedback to speak of, and the names on the feedback that is left seem just a tat strange. Especially when you try to check them out.

Well, if there isn't anything like that going on then Steve needs to let us know what is going on. Not hearing at all only lends to the suspicions and then the thoughts lean towards the bad side.

I suppose we'll wait and see. I'll most likely just close down the second store since I can't get any revisions done there at all now. What would be the point of keeping it going anyway?

I'll be checking back in occasionally and will be back in contact with you also. I'm feeling pretty disappointed about now too.

Hey Antigone. You know what's been going on with me for a while now so I haven't had the time to look around and see new things like I used to. I don't know how long "Powered by DandyID" has been there and I don't know anything about it. I would certainly hate to know that we've been used as some type of test subjects. I spent alot of time working thru the glitches and reporting them to Steve to list the amount of items that I have. He has always responded to our questions and concerns before up to this time. To not get a response from anyone doesn't seem very professional to me at all and I probably need to just keep my comments to myself. The site appears to have taken a downward spiral and is just plain out dead. I feel violated and disappointed.

I've been taking another short tour of some of the stores here, still looking good for the most part. A little unusual tho' in that so many that have been here so long, still have relatively no feedback or very low and they have never stopped by to join in any type of conversation, questions etc. You know, loke so many other sites do. Of course a lot of sellers don't bother with "community" but when none at all do, I just find that strange. Even Tammy and I believe one or two others haven't posted in months.

I also just noticed that at the top of the page, under all the social media icons, I see a line that says it's "powered by DandyID". Have you ever noticed that because I haven't. Doesn't mean it hasn't been there, just that I haven't noticed it.

It made for some interesting reading tho'. There's only 4 people I believe, maybe 5, that are techs for "DandyID", all pretty young too.

I find that interesting also.

I'm in my second store, Your Crowning Glory, making some revisions and doing some relisting. Not working. I managed to get a couple revised, got the ones relisted that needed to be and that's it. Can't revise anything else. I tried the same listing about 4 times and nothing changes.

Now, if this is a training ground for techs then they are skipping school. Let's make this viable folks. I'm willing, Piglet is willing, don't know about the others 'cause they never say.

I'd still like to see MAP be a force but it takes some work doncha' think?

Piglet, you may be right about the two of us being the only ones here. No one, I mean NO one seems to drop by here at all. I still see sellers with stores here but you'd never know it from the lack of communications. I also see stores with nothing more than just a whisper for items. It may be time for some "leveling up" so to speak. I like the "promise" of this site but I don't really want to be a test subject either. Training is for the classroom, not a front. While I worry about Steve, being military and all that, I do know from past experience with another military person with an auction site, while away on other duties there was always a backup operator to keep sellers posted with what was going on.

I guess I'll fix some coffee and get ready for the 2nd Pres. debate tonight. The first one was just pathetic so hopefully this one will be better.

Yeah Piglet, it do get too quiet in here a lot. I'm hoping we'll hear something from our illustrious leader, Steve, soon. I'm been so behind and disorganized lately I'm almost feeling 'flatlined'. I know that's a dumb word to use but I used it so there! LOL It fits the feeling.

On top of everything, the Postal Service now says it will be raising costs again. Regular stamps going up to 47 cents and Priority boxes going up too. If I have to pay more for shipping I'll do all my shipping through Fed-Ex! At least I can be more positive that the items will actually get to their destination!

Watched the debates last night. Not pleased with it at all. Obama obviously had some sorry advice, Romney over talked even the moderator and still said next to nothing and Jim Lehrer? OMG, he needs to retire or make the old format mandatory. He couldn't even stop Romney when it was time. What a farce. Oh well, there's another one on the 16th so maybe we'll actually get answers then. Most likely not tho'. The talkie heads are going to inundate us now for days with their own take. One thing I have to fact check for myself is one of the RNC peeps said the "Obama had a Democratic Congress and still didn't get things done." Really? I think the Congress may have been the maj. for a very brief period of time, but the GOP took over early on and they made it public that they would do not support this president on anything. Of course the fact that the GOP in DC are the largest bunch of racists and bigots there are doesn't help either.

Oh well, what else is new. Our magazine run has been moved to Friday's now. My boss is gone and we have the "other" boss to deal with and he's a dip stick. I don't look for this little job to last much longer. The paper has gone to only printing 3 days now and the magazines have gone down from 5 to 1. Financially it's a flop but we'll see how much more we can get from it for a while longer.

I need to get myself started now. Hubby has a plumbing run to make. Kitchen sink again. jeez.

Just dropping in to see what's up. Things going on I guess in the background but would like to see them up front occasionally.

I am feeling much better but still get 'rocky' once in a while. I see the doc in a week so will find out more then. Anyway, weather is gorgeous and I am going to my work shop to see what I can do there. It is so cluttered I may just back out and close the door! I need pictures and lots of them. When my old computer crashed I lost all my auction pictures and have been lazy about re doing them. That's a job for sure and I know that most of you know that.

Storm made landfall a little earlier and while LA is getting blasted, MS and here in AL we are getting heavy rains and some pretty stiff winds but so far............drum roll please...........WE STILL HAVE POWER!!! Almost unheard of around here. Of course it could still happen. Once before it did, right in the middle of the night. Hard to get things connected to the generator while working in the dark. Not going to think about that now tho', just happy we still have it.

Looks like it has shifted and will not hit us dead on. Doesn't look good for New Orleans tho', just what they don't need. We will get lots of wind and flooding tho', possibly lose power. The power goes out here when the wind blows normally much less storm strength! We are prepared anyway and will continue to watch it closely. I know what you mean about lawyers Piglet. Sorry blood suckers. Unfortunately a letter with a legal letterhead gains more attention than a plain one from me with just a "To Whom It May Concern" on it. The one I was supposed to talk to today had to be in court all day so, I'll try again tomorrow.

I'm glad you had a "grandfather rule" to go with. It sure beats being bullied by bureaucrats. I'm pretty sure who the neighbor may be that would actually complain. He's not lived here near as long as everyone else and he just aches over the fact that he's not in a fancy smancy neighborhood full of wealthy souls! LOL He didn't like the fact that we were putting up a front deck/porch and actually came over to see what it was we were doing. Made a couple comments about permits etc. Well, we didn't need one because it isn't an "attached" deck. It looks like it but it isn't. He lost that argument. Then he wanted to know if we were going to put "columns" up. I said at that point that "No, it's a ranch style, certainly doesn't call for columns". Again he was 'perturbed'. He mentioned property values etc. in the area. Every sideways comment you can think of without coming right out and saying we were at fault, which we weren't. I told him, while making it sound like I was just thinking back, that when we first bought the house it was actually the ugliest house and property on the street. That's what I told anyone looking for us, I'd just say look for the ugliest house on the block. Had old sad blue asbestos siding, rotten wood around the roof. The yard was so over grown with Cane that we couldn't even see just how deep the yard was! Anyway, by the time I told him what improvements we made he kid of shut up. I did say to him that I noticed the improvement he made on his property by bricking the mailbox. He didn't get it and I got a good smile out of it anyway.

He'd be the only one that would be that tacky as to make a complaint. I know he has most of his relatives working for the City.

Steve, I relisted a few items today and one relisted itself twice. That happens quite often but I watch for it and go back and remove one. Small glitch but still a glitch. Just wanted you to know.

Antigone, wow about the grass. I read about what all the two of you have done to the house and in the yard. Some folks just don't have anything better to do with their time but to make others miserable. You have made considerable improvements lately, could it be that someone is jealous? I believe there's two ways that you would have received such a letter. One is that the county patrols areas sometimes and the other comes from someone else filing a complaint about you. Have you tried contacting the office that issued the letter? We got a similar letter a few years ago about parking our tractor out back, against the codes to bring it into a subdivision. I spoke with them, pointing out that we even had a place paved for the truck, we don't bring a trailer in here and well, it is our property that we pay for and pay taxes on. I was still told NO so I pulled out the "grandfather rule", we've been here for a long time and have always owned a truck so do what you have to do, we have no where else to park the truck. Never heard from them again. The word lawyer makes me draw into a ball. Anyway, keep us posted.

cooled down a bit. I just can't stand being dictated too by some jerk. Any way I see a lawyer on Monday and we'll go from there. We've spent thousands, literally thousands of bucks on this property since we've been here and for the city to send this kind of harrassment letter isn't going to fly. We've been here 22 years and have never gone through this before.

Oh well.

Anyway, things seem to be working smoothly here. Hopefully the site will continue to grow. That's the priority I think. It has the potential for sure.

I'm on a mission too. I need to find a good lawyer to send a letter or two, or get ready to sue! I'm being harrassed about the grass! Unbelievable. We don't live in one of those dictatorial neighborhoods where the head idiot comes by and measures the grass, this is someone here that has their drawers in a wad about something and doesn't have the 'jewels' enough to come by and talk. Most likely has a relative in the dept. at the city (who doesn't around here, just not me) and wants to play funny. Our grass is just fine. We get a lot of rain and it shoots up. Soon as it dries a bit hubby cuts it. I have pictures to prove it. Anyway, this donkey's behind has sent a couple letters about it and now it's time to put the quietus on it. They don't want to make me mad, I'm not nice at all when I get mad. I get downright nasty! It is now time, I fear, to get 'nasty'.

So anyway, it's been a fair day so far, ran into a huge downpour down town while returning the magazines but our area didn't get a drop. Oh well.

I noticed the site looked different and things seem to be o.k. on my end anyway. I had to leave IE a while back and go to FireFox. It's Mozilla FireFox (don't have a clue if that's different than any other kind of FF) and it seems to be working fine. Just checking on the picture insertion here. Seems to work o.k. I noticed a change with the links on the homepage a couple days ago and today there's a new font. I for one appreciate you keeping us informed of what we don't see going on in the background. I'm truly glad to here that security is the main focus. Now I expect to be flooded with buyers! The main power supply died in my computer so I've been upgrading my brain from Windows XP to Windows 7.

We do have uploaded pictures rendering on our end. The URL pictures will be fixed shortly. We have been working on new security on the server end. We added security for brute force attacks (with some glitches) that has been the causing the issues when logging in. The HTML editor has been fixed and we scraped the ENOVA editor since it is no longer supported and defunct. Everyone should default to the new editor now so the posting functions should be working now. With the happenings from a couple of months ago when our server/site was attacked we have made security our main focus.

Hey there Piglet, I hear what yer sayin'. I was just wondering what was going on myself. Haven't seen or heard from Steve in a long, long while. I know he's military so first of all I really hope he is o.k., then I'd like to hear an update on MAP. Seems like things have stayed in one spot for a tat too long now.

Getting used to a new PC can be fun but also a royal PITA too. I can't see why on earth you shouldn't be able to see the changes you mention. Or why your choices don't work. Someone may be asleep at the switch.

I'm going to get in the bed a little early tonight and I'd better get some sleep. I'm going to "carefully" take the Ambien. A couple nights ago I took a pain pill and forgot about it. About an hour later I took the Ambien. I started to get a bit too drowzy too quick. While I could I checked the net about medicine interractions. LOL! Hello? Seems like the 2 taken like that have a "very strong sedative effect and should be monitored closely!" Too late then. I could barely walk, I tried to call to the hubby (he was very sound asleep) and that wasn't working. I have never fought something so hard in my life! I mean I managed to get to the kitchen, drank some water, got some coffee and drank it, cold at that! After about an hour I could feel the effects ease up a bit. Hubby got up to get some water himself and when he saw me he knew something wasn't right. Jeez. He was wanting to get to the hospital and I said no, the worst was over. I will never make that mistake again. Of all the stupid things I've done, that one takes the cake. Me, the one who doesn't like to take pills anyway, does something that totally stupid. Sheesh.

On that happy note I'll say nitey-nite. hahaha

Hey, the piglet here. Antigone, I'm so glad you viewed some of my items. I'd love to see some of those beauties boxed up and moving on down the road. Another thing I'd love to see is my font, font size, and color appear from what I selected. Another thing I'd love to see is an item just relisting one time when that option is selected. I'm using a new computer now so maybe some settings need tweeking but then I wouldn't know what to tweek and it's for sure there ain't nobody around here to help. So it is what it is. Hope you're doing better and staying away from the frozen yogurt and I hope the hubby had a most wonderful Birthday.

Piglet, just saw some of your listings and whew! You have some real beauties there. Love that carving, awesome.

It's been another day here. I've been going through some really, old, old, family stuff. I think I'll put some of it up for auction. There are things there that I have no idea what they are or more accurately, who they are. I know there's a bunch of relatives there but I have no idea who they are. Seems no one thought to put names on most of the pics and it's just a mystery to me. Just some old things I don't need to store. I do have some things that I can't do anything with and my own kids aren't that interested in them so I might as well put them out there for someone that can actually do something with them.

Been hot again, no rain only the promise. I did manage to get some exercise in but not near enough. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm still hangin' around. I haven't seen a heat wave like this in many a year. I'm tired of it and we have it better than a lot of areas. I really feel for people in the triple diget areas. Our heat index goes into the triple digits but other areas are there already in the regular temps. Jeez.

Well, got the run again tomorrow, it's supposed to be 94f and no telling what the index will be. We'll survive it hopefully. Already looking for it to be over.

Hey Piglet, my 'html' block is always checked. When I post a picture I first get the 'coding' from Photobucket, i.e.

the one that says it's used for 'direct link'. When I put it in here I click on the picture of the tree, it brings up a box that has "image url", then a 'description' line, (if you don't put a name in there it will ask you if you forgot or not LOL) then you click on "insert". You should also see a preview in the big area. After you click on 'insert' your picture should show up here. For example:

It seems to work for me. I am using Mozilla FireFox now because my IE started really screwing up. I like it, but I do miss IE on some things. Anyway, give that procedure a try and see what happens.

I've been back and forth but not really long enough to post anything. Hope everyone is o.k. and being productive. It's hot, hot, hot in most parts of the country and I hope others are o.k. We are having it somewhat hotter than normal here in Mobile too but for the most part we're a little used to it. A lot of folks aren't and they are really suffering.

The home page looks good Steve! In fact the whole site seems to be working pretty slick lately. Y'all must be pretty smooth, you kind of slide improvements in on us and I'll bet you're smiling wondering if we'll notice or not. hahaha. Kudos.

I survived Thursday and that's about all I could hope for anyway. We have the Mitsubishi back and it appears to be working fine, so next week will be much better. I really can't deal with the heat anymore now that I am "older". Used to look forward to Summer but anymore I would rather breathe easier and not sweat so much that my skin suffers. Yep, getting older is a true biotch.

Hope everyone is well and being productive. MAP seems to be running pretty smooth. I haven't utilized some of the different features in a while so maybe I need to take another look and give them a try also.

Wow!

All I did was enter MAP into my browser so I could get a new bookmark and it's been 30 minutes of freeze ups and script error messages. Whew. I guess it's working now. I'll see when I go out and come in again.

Been a long day. Got a call from the mechanic, one problem is that the car is old and parts for it are hard to find. It needs a new fan/motor or some such thing. It kicks in when the motor gets just so hot and then helps cool it down? Whatever. Anyway, not cheap but not so much that it's going to kill us. We just won't have it in time to run mags this Thurs. We'll have to take the Ranger. I hate that truck. It's uncomfortable, it's hot (no a.c. at all) it's small, it has an exhaust leak somewhere and I wind up with a biotch of a headache before long. Thursday is also supposed to be one of the hotter days this week along with a chance of rain. That means that if we leave the windows down for air the rain will come in. It also means that we'll have to have some kind of tarp to cover the back so the stupid mags won't get wet. More than likely, this will be the week we have a 3rd magazine too. It just keeps getting better and better!

I'm going to get some coffee, take a pain pill and try to not think about it. I'll cya tomorrow some time. Take care and be productive.

Hey there Piglet. I would have bumped the door more but was too tired. LOL

I haven't tried the picture adding here in a while so I haven't noticed the html thingy. Still having to log in twice if you go the standard way. If you come in to the site and just go straight to the Coffee Shop you can log in that once. Of course, if you go to work in the Member's area you'll have to log in again so it's 6 of 1 and half dozen of another.

Got our car in the shop, still has the over heating problem and they may have found the problem, or maybe not. Still checking. I hope they don't hit too hard with the cost but I'm not going to hold my breath.

All I've done lately is Tweet once in a while. Hope I can get to some actual work for a change.

Quiet so far today, ground is trying to dry out after all the rain. Steamy of course. Our Poplar may not make it. It just got too much water too fast, leaves are looking really sickly. We can just hope for the best.

I'm also hoping that all the Fathers out there and the Dads, are enjoying their day. even if you aren't surrounded by others, know that you are being thought of and being thanked.

I'm on my way to take some pics before the high heat sets in. Our hottest part of the day begins around 2 in the afternoon and hangs in there till about 4. It's a true biotch.

Yep Piglet, it was a biotch of a day. Got your message earlier, sounds like you've been feeling the heat too. We both should have great skin because we go outdoors and instant Sauna! Not funny on any level. LOL

MAP was a little easier to get into today. Did some relists and so far no problem. I sure hope I can get settled with no problems around here and then get some new stuff listed. I shouldn't even mention it I'll probably jinx it.

A long, hard, hot day. 94, no rain and little cloud cover. The car's a.c. is working but we can't let it idle with it running or the whole thing shuts down. Had the problem off and on a lot today and believe me, it doesn't help the tempers any. I am dog tired.

This may or may not take. I've been trying to get into MAP all day, I mean ALL day and this is the first chance I got this far. I had to bypass the first log in and go straight to the chat room and sign in there. I finally got tired of it never fully loading so I stopped it and now will see if my message actually posts.

Steve, some of the items that are being posted to Twitter are still showing as "waiting for approval" ? of MAP, or, it says "invalid item". Don't know what or why it's happening. I've posted some from MAP to my Twitter and it seems to show fine. Takes a while to load tho' so that could put some people off.

Oh I am definitely backing it up. Got some CD's and saving the pics there this time. I'm still taking some. Good grief, I forgot what a chore it is and the time it takes. Oh well. I managed to get a few items here in the Crowning Glory store. I have to quit now for a bit and take care of some other stuff.

We are predicted to get rain for the rest of the week, however, around here it's the guessing game. What they say this morning will change by afternoon, and then again in the evening. Shoot, I can look out the window and get better information, and they make the big bucks! No justice.

If you venture out, be careful. People get nuts when it's hot and then rains.

The little critter might not make it in a fresh water tank. I was going to start a salt water one once until I found out how much constant work it required and not to mention the $$$$$! Salt water critters are high maintenance for sure.

It's a gorgeous day here, sunny with a breeze. I'm all set to take some new pics of auction items, (lost most of my last ones with the old computer crash) I got 2 pictures done and the battery went dead. No problemo, I have backup batteries. First backup in, point and shoot, that goes dead too. O.K., I can deal with it, 2nd backup in and of course it's dead too. I steal the one out of hubby's camera, naturally he hasn't used his in ages and certainly, it's dead! I have batteries and chargers in all outlets here in the office. I suppose eventually I'll get to take some pics.

In the meantime, I'm going to eat, have some coffee, take a nap and then try again. I have to go into my work shop and it will be cooler after while anyway. My AC went out and it gets too warm to work in there during the high point of the day.

Hi Steve, good to see you again, thank you so much for your hard work at getting the site cleaned up and safe.

I'm just debating with myself about whether to take a nap or make myself stay up and do some work. I think the nap may win. My finger isn't broken, I can bend it but with some pain. Second time I've slammed a hand or fingers in a car door. There's got to be a hidden message to me in there somewhere but durn if I can find it. The only work that comes to mind is "klutz" and that covers most all of my movements.

Had rain earlier, helped to cool things down a tat. My air conditioner in my workshop is dead, fini, gone kaputz, so I won't be doing any work in there for a bit. I may bring some stuff in the office here to work on but I'll see how that goes.

O.K., the nap idea won, headed for the pillow.
